According to the Journal of the Society of Medicine and Natural Sciences of Parma, an
estimated one-third to one-half of the world’s population
lacks basic surgical care. This is largely due to the
fact that stainless steel instruments are prohibitively
expensive. As a result, patients suffer from otherwise
preventable infections because basic surgeries, such as
